The 2019 Statesman Nationals is fast approaching and we’re expecting more than 100 classic and custom long-wheelbase cars to attend on Sat 19 Oct and 20 Oct at Shepparton Motor Museum and surrounds.

  • Show n Shine
  • Museum Tour
  • BBQ
  • HSCCA Dinner
  • Cruise to Fins and Fenders

This year’s tribute to the VS model is Rj Smith’s Custom VS ”Huckleberry,” a custom 6-litre build,  will feature with two other phenomenally low km cars owned by Shannon Bordieri and Brad Galea, inside the museum.

There will be rolling raffle prizes drawn throughout the day. And a pizza dinner event on the Saturday night is being hosted at the Casablanca Pizzeria, High Street. This is a change of venue. Guest speaker Greg Maskell will attend the dinner.

A rare HQ Statesman 6-cylinder column-auto is making an appearance a well as a HSV Development Grange.

The two day event includes a show ‘n’ shine event, and a Sunday cruise to the “Fins and Fenders” Rod show at the Tatura Race Course. They are very happy to share with our Stato event on the Sunday. This is revised from our earlier run, now deleted. On Sunday, Including our Statos, there will be more than 250 show cars.

A Saturday morning cruise from Wallan Services is being organized by Meagan Connolly. Departing the services about 9am. What a sight this will be ... a ribbon of V8s rumbling up the Hume and Goulburn Valley Highways

Shepparton’s Joshua Bicknell, of Coffee & Synthesizers, is supporting the Stato Nats with his HX 253 V8  Kingswood and Coffee, Slushies and Milk Shakes caravan.

The colorful rig will add some fun to the event. Great news. Plus the forecast for 19-20 Oct is fine and warm over those days and fine all week. By comparison a big improvement on last year.

One of Australia's leading custom car builders, Greg Maskell, will be a special guest speaker at the Statesman Nationals Dinner on the evening of 19 October.

Greg's Maskells Customs and Classics is known for winnng prizes at Mcguiars car shows and the prestigious Sema Car Show in the US, where he took the magnificent XBOSS XB Coupe to show and win a top three prize.

They are also project masters of GM cars including prizeWinning Monaco’s, Toranas and Comaros.

Greg will attend the dinner and will be taking questions in a "Q and A" Session, taken from attendees at the dinner.

Maskell's are also known for the amazing build of an XF Ford "Psycho" with every panel, engine, glass and interior were custom-built.

Things are warming up at the Statesman Nationals organising committee.  We are geting excited about "the biggest and best Statesman Event of 2019."

  1. You need to come to enjoy the Cruise from Wallan — we are expecting about 50 cars to make the morning cruise from Wallan to Shepparton.
  2. You need to see the updated Shepparton Motor Musuem — the musuem has doubled in size in the part years and is about to start undergoing a further expansion.
  3. You need to see the amazing roll-up of Statos, Caprices, Devilles and Granges – we've had more than 400 car owners express their interest in the event.
  4. You need to enjoy the Statesman Nationals Dinner — we're expecting guest speakers, raffle competitions, more prizes than you can poke a stick at.
  5. You need to enjoy the Statesman Nats Sunday Cruise to Murchison, via Kirwans Bridge (an experience not to be forgotten). You just don't get to do these things when you live in the big smoke.

This movie demonstrates the fun had at last year's Nats during the two days.
